Tasmania Tour - October 2009

While the exact details are yet to be finalised, WEDG1, Big Al & Raels are planning a trip to the Apple Isle for the later part of October. This has come about due to the increased level of interest in the kits from the island and since the Tasmanian DEIR have finalised their compliance regime for bikes fitted with the kits.

Big Al tells us, "We are really looking forward to catching up with all those local riders who have inquired about the Wedgetail Outrider Kits over the last 2 1/2 years from down there. Unfortunately they haven't yet had the chance to see one in the flesh and we really want to rectify that. ...And alright, of course riding the Tasmanian roads and enjoying the Tassie scenery from the back of a Triumph Rocket III Touring Quike won't be too much of a hardship either."

In an attempt to catch up with as many local riders as they can, their itinerary will be, in part, determined by your requests to see them. If you would like to catch up with WEDG1 while it's on this trip, or if you would like a visit at your local club meeting, just let the Wedgetail office know and we will do our very best to include those arrangements in the itinerary or alternatively we will send you the itinerary once it does become final.

First Wedgetail Outriders Kit hits the streets in Western Australia!

With DPI WA passing compliance through their new process last month and special mounts now made on her kit for her crutches, A.C. of the Rockingham area now has her Yamaha Royal Star, fitted with her new Wedgetail Outriders Kit, out and about on WA's roads.

This is no small thing for either A.C., whose disability makes it impossible for her to walk without crutches and that had kept her off her beloved bike for years, nor for Wedgetail, as it opens the door for more Western Australians to "Out Ride Life" and get back into or keep riding their bikes. Our warmest congratulations A. C. and now just keep loving your bike won't you! To see pictures of her bike and the crutch mounts just visit our Gallery.

New addition to the Owner's Gallery

A.C. of (W.A.) shows off his Yamaha XVZ1300 Royal Star Venture in the Owners Gallery. This is the 1st kit ever on the roads in Western Australia. Only completed last weekend.

Owner's Gallery Updated

We've now added all our latest Customer's Bikes to our Photo Gallery. Check it out to see some truly spectacular examples of their finished machines!

The Wedgetail Outriders gallery has been recently updated with the addition of a further 24 Owners photos and another 4 of the WEDG-1 demo bike.

If your bike should be there but isn't, remember to send us some photos of the completed outfit and we'll be glad to add them to the Gallery for you.

Meet the new  WEDG-1 - A world first!

Wedgetail's latest demo bike is a stunning 2008 Triumph Rocket III Touring!

Currently the only one of it's kind in the world, it is loaded with custom lights, wheels and trimmings.

We had hoped to unveil WEDG-1 at the Ulysses AGM in May, but unfortunately we weren't able to pull it off - So here for the first time is a peak at the latest model available in the Wedgetail Outriders stable of kits!

WEDG.1 does Geelong, Victoria HOG Toy Run

Here's WEDG.1 at the start of the 2007 Toy Run in Mercer Street, Geelong.

The run traditionally finishes in Queenscliff with riders from all points of the compass. With just under 1,000 bikes and a great sunny morning no one could stay away. All goods and toys go to Bethany Family Support for local struggling families at Christmas.

Wedgetail a hit at National HOG Rally 2007

The crew at Wedgetail made many new friends at the National HOG Rally Trade Stand introducing 100's of HOG members to the kits.

There were even ride sessions on WEDG.1 held on the oval which were enjoyed immensely by those who tried the kit out.

We would like to thank the organisers and the people of the Barossa Valley, especially Nuriootpa, in SA for their warm welcome and enjoyable Rally.

WEDG.1 also showed its abilities when Big Al pinched Elite Campers display trailer and took it for an all too easy spin around the Rally site.

Thanks to the guys from Elite for the loan of the trailer for what could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship: Wedgetail Kits towing Elite Trailers!

WEDG.1 turns up at Adelaide Harley launch

Big Al & WEDGE.1 turned up in Adelaide during the week before the Barossa HOG Rally and they were able to meet interested people from all over South Aus.

Pictured is Big Al meets with Scott from FUBAR Motorcycles in Lonsdale outside the Peter Stevens Adelaide Harley Davidson 2008 Model Release.

WEDG.1 also visited the DTEI Inspectors head office and Vehicle ID Check facilities, the Ulysses Wednesday run crew at the Tea Tree Hotel and Bill's Motorcycles in Blair Athol.

Ulysses Coffs AGM a winner!

The Wedgetail crew have just returned from our first chance to show off WEDGE.1 and the Wedgetail Conversion Kits to Ulysses members from all over the country and New Zealand.

In what can only be described as a laid back and most enjoyable event, we talked to hundreds of interested and knowledgeable Ulyssians about our conversion kits and how they would fit on an equally diverse number of bike models.

Each evening we did a ride up the highway to show how the kit worked "in action" as well as shorter handling demonstrations in the trade area. Both were well received and, we are told, the kits became a popular topic of campfire discussion on most nights.

We were very pleased by our reception at the AGM and would like to take the opportunity to thank the Coffs Branch of the Ulysses club for their efforts and excellent organisation and the people of Coffs Harbour for making us feel so welcome.

We hope we will see you all again at the Townsville AGM next year.
